After two full weeks of NC, not replying to a single text, no communicado, nothing, I dropped her things off at her doorstep when she wasn't home. I left a note that got some things off of my chest. The note was sweet, but by no means was asking her back. Things ended abruptly and after two years there were just some things that I wanted to say.

Last night at around 11:30, I wake up and she is in my room. She tells me she loves me and that I didn't lose her. I am half drunk/half awake and just remember holding her for a while. Not sure how long, but I never got out of bed; it was probably about 10-20 minutes. She then said she would let me sleep (I was truly out of it) and said she would talk to me tomorrow.

She hasn't texted or called today. I'm fine with everything as I didn't expect anything from the note - I was just dropping her stuff off. It's Friday, and I was planning on going out, but I'm a little nervous about her asking to meet up or something. Any clues as what to expect or what is going on?

Hell, are you sure you weren't dreaming it?

I mean, that would have freaked me out waking up to someone standing in my room in the middle of the night. A little creepy.

Some questions here:

Who did the breaking up? How did she get in? Did you live together before? Do you even want her back? What were the reasons behind the breakup?

To be honest, if I woke up and my wife (who has moved out) was in the room, I would view that as a major breach of my personal space and it would really freak me out, even though she OWNS the house. So this sounds a bit stalkerish to me. I would proceed with caution.

Unless for some reason you do want her back, I'd just forget that it happened and stick to NC.

Also, I would strongly consider changing my locks.

I too was wondering how she got in.

For starters, lock your doors.

She may think this is an opportunity to reconcile. When you are sober & awake make sure you explain that's not what you want.

I'd be a little more nervous about someone suddenly showing up unannounced in my bedroom while I was sleeping. That's shaky stuff right there.

Maybe you forgot to take the keys when you broke up with her. I'm pretty sure you can expect more of this until you confiscate those keys.

That's some creepy Fatal Attraction-type stuff.

She sounds a bit unstable. I'd forget it happened, go back to strict NC and change my locks, seriously!!!
