ALL the right signals and he didn't ask for my number....what gives?

So last night, i was at a bar with my friend and i see someone cute. Just so happens that my friend knows him, so she introduces me. It was like magic from the moment he talked to me. I wound up sitting next to him and all night we were touching and rubbing up against each other. We took a nice picture together and the put his arm around me to take it. ALL the right signs. I caught him staring at me a few times too! But at the end of the night, he didn't ask for my number. He gave me a close lip - cheek kiss and a hug and said hopefully I'll see you again?!?! HOPEFULLY you'll see me again!!! Ask for my damn number and you will see me again. I don't get guys sometimes. I was so pissed. Me and him could have really hit it off. What gives guys?!?

He could have a GF. Or he could be like my crazy Sgt. Bosco and really REALLY like you and want to wait to get to know you before actually moving into the predator-prey phase of your relationship. I'm not used to being respected by men, dammit!

 

I know the frustration you feel. I was like a cat, purring and rubbing up against the guy I am totally into, snuggling up to him and nuzzling him, and all he does is talk to me on the phone every day for an hour and give me mixed signals.

Well then maybe my second option. Maybe he really liked you, he is respectful of women, and he wants to hang with you and get to know you first before he moves into the relationship phase. I think some men really do like the hunt, they like to persue, and you should make HIM chase YOU and be all fluttering your eyelashes and saying "Oh, THAT would be fun, wouldn't it? tee hee" when he says "Hope I see you again sometime"....

 

I dunno, hanging out and talking on the phone all the time to the guy I have a major crush on has made me realize that waiting isn't necessarily a bad thing. I mean it's frustrating, but it makes you look better when you are unattainable. Didn't you ever see the movie "Sabrina" with Audrey Hepburn? She comes back from France all hot looking and classy and gorgeous, yet innocent and unattainable, and both brothers go ga-ga for her in their own way, but the real love comes from the guy acting all gruff like he's not attracted to her.

 

The a**h***s are overt in their expression of attraction to women, I have started to think, and nice guys are more subtle in how they display their interest. Maybe he is trying to make you MAKE him chase you?

I hope so. Since I;'m such a "Friends" Fanatic. I was gonn use a line from the show but i chickened out " So how many time do i have touch you til you ask for my number" But he didn't seem the kind of guy who like aggressive girls, so I didn't.

He didnt seem like it..but you shouldve lol that woulda been cool. He woulda been shocked! Talk to your friend..sheknew him right? Tell her to go and get the scoop.

Just be careful, because I have come across some men that lie no matter what. They say they have no wife or girlfriend just to try to get a piece of a$$.

Give it some time...I do the same stuff. If he liked you, he'll find out about you. He knows that there is some kind of link to you, so why rush it? To me this sounds like a good start...

 

It's funny when people say "he's got game or no game". It's usually the game players (who are always mostly single and struggling) that make those comments. What do you do when you find a guy that's retired from the games?

 

I don't chase girls either cause I figure they have heard all the cheesiest stuff in the world anyway, why would I want to fall into that stereotype. If I'm gonna impress you, it wouldn't be through the typical stuff. Maybe this guy thinks like that. Or maybe he just got out of a relationship or something. My opinion, sounds like he's open to stuff and figures that timing is a huge part, just like in every other relationship.

 

Seems to me that girls freak out about if a guy doesn't follow the usual channels or protocol. But isn't that a good thing? Wouldn't you want a guy who would treat you differently from the usual crowd?

 

I dunno, I'm just thinking here and I'd be really surprised if you didn't hear something...

You should have asked him for his number. I personally like it when a girl takes a little initiative. It takes a lot of the guesswork out.
