Donut Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 I like the books by Allan and Barbara Pease. Why Men Don't Listen and Why Women can't Read Maps and Why Men Lie and Women Cry. They're not self help books as such - more like explaining why we are the way we are because of our biological make up and evolution. They have a sense of humour too, so they are fun to read.

Lol Donut, now this time I would be looking only at your avatar just kidding. Yeah thanks a lot that you did it for me and so quick. It seems that I am the only one requesting ppl to change avatars.I remember few days back I asked NSN also to put her girl avatar. People are so good in LS they always oblige me. thanks
moimeme Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 I picked up that Men are from Mars book but I didn't like it. I found it too, umm, weird (for lack of better words). I actually can't remember what exactly i didn't like about it, maybe it was just his writing style. I'd go back to that book. Grey spilled the beans about why men behave the way they do. I found his info to be very helpful. I'm not in complete agreement with him - he seems to excuse men from discussing problems indefinitely until they are ready to and that, IMHO, lets some of 'em off the hook when it comes to avoiding difficult issues, but otherwise his stuff is pretty useful.
