EekArat Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I don't if my GF was serious or not we had a phone call yesterday, and I let her know that I got her a minion she then goes "Is that to try and stop me from breaking up with you?" ... I said "No" and she went "I'm only joking" I don't know what to think. The thing that's bothering me the most is that before she even "joked" about the breaking up part this happened: Me " Do you want the 2 weeks of space? " Her "Why? I've missed you" Why would she say she 'missed' me, but then joke of a break up??
Light Breeze Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Dude, don't overthink this, she was just probably joking. Anyway, I can't really comment much since you only gave little details about your breakup and relationship.

Light Breeze Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I only assumed you were breaking up since you posted in this section Dude, I think it would be better if you just tell your whole story so we can give you our $.02.

OK well just add the OP part to the end of this: We had an argument over the phone a week ago over something stupid. She asked for 2 weeks for things to settle down and let me know it was because she was really, really upset (with me) and that she was under a lot of stress at University. I agreed and left her to it. After only 3 days she got into contact with me thanking me for sending this card to her grandparents and how they really appreciated it. I replied "You're welcome" And quickly after she asked "Are you OK? How was your trip to Bristol"? Fast forward a day later we had a phone conversation ... please re-read OP.
Diezel Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 You probably should have started with the 2 weeks space part... She asked for a break, give her a break up. Yes, she is breaking up with you, or she did, or she's disguising it as a break. Two people who care about each other don't need 2 week breaks from each other. They work through stuff together. 1

When a relationship is in trouble, it is solved by adult communication. Not running away from the issue and avoiding it by having a "break". 1
lil hoodlum Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Exactly. When a relationship is in trouble, it is solved by adult communication. Not running away from the issue and avoiding it by having a "break". Absolute truth!
