samaraa Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Whoa.. are you sure this guy isn't still married? or seeing someone/others? sounds like he's barely interested and keeping you on the back burner for a just-in-case.
mangetout Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Something doesn't seem right here. Too much hard work, Dating should be fun. This doesn't sound like it all at
mangetout Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 I am done chasing men. If they want me then show it! Come on Gaeta do the same.
Author Gaeta Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 Absolutely nothing happened since I posted this. If he texts me and I don't reply right away he goes: *anyone home? *busy? *you there? But when I text he replies then goes poof! and I hear from him 2 days later and he's not picking up on the last thing I said. He is officially weird. 1

I couldn't be bothered with that :-/
writergal Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Sounds too one-sided Gaeta for you to have to waste anymore of your time on this no-response-texter guy. I think he may be officially multi-dating if he won't respond to your texts. That or he works for a secret spy agency like The Bourne Identity and his cover was blown. But I'd go with the multi-dating theory myself. It would be fun (sort of) to date a spy. I hope he texts you. Or just call him? See what's what?

Nah, no spy, just a man overwhelmed with 4 kids full time and 2 jobs.
writergal Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Nah, no spy, just a man overwhelmed with 4 kids full time and 2 jobs. Oh drats. Well, 4 kids and 2 jobs is a lot for one person to deal with. Is he worth waiting around for? If you call him, does he call you back or is it the same result as when you text; he doesn't call back? Are you dating any other guys who are more available and respond to you a lot quicker? Focus on them and leave this guy to his chaotic life. A single parent with multiple kids needs to be adept at time management. Doesn't sound like he's there yet if he's not responding to your texts. Don't be his option. Be some other man's priority Gaeta. You deserve to be happy.

If you call him, does he call you back or is it the same result as when you text; he doesn't call back? I thought he was worth waiting for at first but not anymore. In another 3 to 5 years he will be a good prospect to pursue, for someone else. I didn't call him. His schedule changes a lot and with the kids, his mother and sister regularly barging in to help, I figured he does not have phone time. Bottom line he does not have time for a girlfriend, and not even time to just date. Each time I tell him I am moving on he insists I don't do that but I am done now. Moving on from what? We were not exclusive, we were not dating, we were nothing but a few dates and sporadic communication. Are you dating any other guys who are more available and respond to you a lot quicker? I deleted my profiles about 3 months ago. I have no desire to go back for the moment. You deserve to be happy. Thank you 1

So he expects you to be there when he texts (i.e. "anyone home?"), but when you text, he can respond at his leisure? Up to two days later?
Toodaloo Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Oh yes I tried that. Most of the time he does not reply back. I also told him point blank that I would prefer getting a 3 mins phone call than these good night text and he replied texting is more convenient because he can do other things at the same time. Don't bother responding then. Its just his way of showing you he is thinking of you while he goes about his daily business. Ring him when you want and speak to him instead of texting back. Monkey see = monkey do?
