cornie Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Hi, I'm new here... I was with my boyfriend for 2 years and we've just broken up. He told me it's not my fault but I'm blaming myself. .. I've been dreaming about him every night since we saw us for the last time, I don't belive it's the end... Do you often dream about your ex? Will I ever stop missing him?

You blame yourself because you can't get enough answers or reasons from him. Sometimes you dream about him, if you are thinking of him too much. Post BU keeping the hope will make you miss him more. Stick to NC and those "missing him" will become distant beautiful memories, nothing more.
Marco Valerio Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 FYI, I broke up with my ex over a year ago (she initiated it), and last night i dreamed about her. It does happen from time to time, it's something involuntary, not much you can do.

If I see my Ex in my sleep it won't be a dream it would be a Nightmare.
amaysngrace Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Dreams are non-threatening releases of thoughts that are too painful to process in our waking lives. When we think back on a dream it's not real so it takes that element out of it while we're still thinking about that person. Seeing them in dreams means that there are unresolved feelings inside ourselves. In other words, dreams have to do with the dreamer, not the person in the dream. 1
Author cornie Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 but do your dreams ever come true? have you met with your ex again?
bigtrouble Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 but do your dreams ever come true? have you met with your ex again? No, and I don't think I will meet her, unless I really make an effort to go to the city where she lives. or Where she works. But that would be stalking and is creepy, beyond my moral limits. Or I can get a job where she works, but that would be fairly stupid.
sober and dry Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Damn I think reading this threat yesterday made me spend this last night just having nightmares with her...
Hija77 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I've had several dreams about my ex. The last one involved him coming and getting his couch out of my garage. Fingers crossed that one comes true! This **** needs to gooooooooo. Hahahaha!
Mif Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Hey Cornie, I was dreaming about my ex every day for the first few weeks after being dumped. I dreamed he was here. I dreamed about waking up in his arms. I also dreamed about being eaten alive by monsters. 7 weeks down the track, I haven't dreamed about him for ages. It does get better. Now, if you ask when the tears stop.. that I can't answer. I hope you're still managing to get proper sleep.
