I have been dating this guy for over two years now. I've never really noticed or even right to think if he was controlling or not until one of my friends brought it up.

So, im from Europe and my bf is from Mexico. All of his family lives here and he gets to see them all the time. All of my family lives in Europe. I havnt seen them in 6yrs and have an opportunity go see them this summer.

Im graduating with as bachelors this summer, while he is going to school. That's why he can't come with me. He has an opportunity to go to Hawaii with his family in May, but says he's not gonna go because he wants to be there for my graduation.

Once I told him I was wanting to go to Europe this summer. He acted annoyed/angry. He then said that he does everything for me and always puts me first and that I don't do the same for him. Which is a lie. He then told me he's gonna go to Hawaii with his family.

Im very upset that he's not supporting me wanting to go visit my family. Am I in the wrong??

No, you aren't. He's being selfish and immature.

Do what you want to do.

He's being a pycho. He would deny your right to see your family after a 6 year hiatus?! He's being completely unreasonable. The only proper response is, "I'm so happy you're goig to get to see them! Take some great pictures and we'll skype when you're gone."

THAT WAS MY FIRST REACTION TOO!! but then i started over thinking everything and thought, "what if he's right".. "what if i'm being selfish". I think he's insecure/jelouse i'm not sure why though.

I went to Florida with my mom and sister just for a small vacation and he pretty much broke up with me and wouldn't talk to me.

Go to Europe, see your family.

Here is something to think about. If your relationship is not strong enough to handle a summer apart, then it is not strong enough to handle a marriage.

I am concerned at how he reacts every time you spend time with your family. It is like he is trying to erase them and have his family and him as your only family. Think about that. The rest of your life feeling bad every time you want to spend time with your parents or siblings....
