unagedtiger Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 So I got a rejection today. Funny how world/things work. My friends get rejected by these girls. These girls get rejected by me. I get rejected by their friend. Where does this end? She just must have different standards and must be a level above me. Anyone feel something similar? That difficult 1~2% that trips me.
StalwartMind Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Sounds about right to me, not shocking in any way or shape. The world, people and general flow of life seem to follow this random pattern.
Gaeta Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 The problem nowadays is we have too much choice. My dad is 75 years old. When he was 24 and had to pick a wife he had the choice of 4-5 young women in his village that were of age to be courted. I live in a city of 4 millions. Here 50% of adult population is single. Too much choice! 1
Hopes Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 The problem nowadays is we have too much choice. My dad is 75 years old. Too much choice! All this choice and people still can't find happiness. I think it comes from a fictional view of what romance and a relationship is and the fickle nature of a person. Also, I think the world has tended to shift towards excessive value placed on the superficial. Both sexes.
central Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Too much choice can be paralyzing. How can you choose the best when anyone you do choose may be improved upon by waiting. Eventually, you can wait yourself out of options! "The best" is something of an illusion. Yes, you do need to date a lot and find out what works for you and what traits those people have, then either pick from one of those, or try the next one who comes along with those characteristics and give it a try. It may not work, but you gain even more information from the attempt. Eventually, you get it right - hopefully.
