There is a guy i like and i was thinking about asking him to watch a movie in my house or his. We hang out often. I would like you to suggest me a new movie that is really interesting. He likes a lot comedies, thrillers and a little horror movies and also movies like Lord of the Rings and stuff. I know that he will accept because he likes me as a person but in case you know he feels a little uncomfortable what could i write in order to convince him and avoid saying no?:D Any ideas are welcome.

I would suggest a comedy movie. I'm not quite sure what comedies are out right now, but I'm sure if you search Netflix, OnDemand, etc., you'll be able to run across something enjoyable. You want your movie date to be full of fun and excitement. Something that can give you both laughs. Don't watch anything romantic right now, since I'm taking that everything is still new between the two of you. Action movies are okay, but for the first date I wouldn't lean towards anything intense.

You are right. I will find a comedy. Just two quick questions... In case that he feels a bit uncomfortable with my suggestion what could i tell him to just help him accept it without overthinking? Also, in case he asks why i chose him to watch the movie what would the best answer be?:D

Anyone else who wants to suggest anything is welcome to do so.:)

I would simply tell him that you would like to relax and watch a nice movie together. You mentioned that he likes comedies, so I'm sure he won't be uncomfortable. But also if he likes you, you shouldn't have to do a lot of persuading or give a lecture to him about coming over. If he asks you why you chose him?.... I'm not sure "you're" reason why you want to watch a movie with this guy. What ever characteristics about him that you like, just bring it to his attention.(In a nutshell).:) If he don't like the idea of him coming over your house or vice versa, come up with another plan. Actually going to the movies, dinner, bowling, etc.

Ummm...

At home, on demand, I recently saw The Equalizer with Denzel Washington. It was good...IMO, that's a "guy" movie. I tend to watch movies like that. Another good one was November Man. Also the Most Wanted Man was a good one too.

About a recent comedy - I saw the Interview and didn't like it much. For all the hype they made about it, didn't care for it. On Netflix I saw the sequel to the Haunted House spoof...it was funny to me, but not sure if that kind of humor is good for a first date.

So, for a comedy, I'll suggest Identity Thief. It's been out for a while, but still is on demand. I still haven't seen A Million Ways to Die in the West by Seth MacFarlane, but think that'd be a good watch too.

Guardians of the Galaxy! I loved that one and so did my date. But also maybe suggest something else. I just asked my guy out to go roller skating with water guns. Being outside and getting the heart rate up is always fun. But, I live in Santa Cruz, CA and it was 70 degrees and sunny today. It proably isn't like that everywhere.

How about some Hitchcock? Id love to "watch" black & white horror movies in a date. It will give you an adrenaline kick without the heart attack. :o

The Human Centipede. Never fails.

I have seen it and so did he. It's a great movie!

Thank you all for your answers. They helped me. I might seem a bit dumb now but there is a problem. I'm going really soon to start a conversation with him online about something and while talking i will write him "I know you watch a lot of movies so i would like to ask you if you could suggest a good one to see". From now on what could i write so that i find a movie he hasn't watched and suggesting him in a friendly way and like i thought it that moment to watch it together?

I know i complicate things but i feel a bit stressed. With this person we have a bit of a history together. It's not exactly a first date.:)

Anyone please give your advice.
