ak_6024 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Hey everyone, I'm a bit confused with something and any help would be appreciated. I met this girl at a school event a couple months ago and we immediately connected. A few weeks after that she gave me her number and we started texting/calling pretty frequently. She initiated contact frequently, and our conversations always went really well. A little over a week ago she invited me over her house to watch movies. What I did not know was it was with her family. She introduced me to them and it went well, but I was fairly quiet most of the night. I didn't ignore anyone, I just wasn't too sure what to say. It felt kinda awkward and to me it screamed "I just think of you as a friend". I heard from her the next day for a little bit, and ever since then there's been no initiative from her whatsoever. She could very well be busy, but I feel like she's completely lost any sort of interest. I've attempted to take initiative but it's usually met with quick, but short, responses. I feel like I'm just pulling her along at this point. Anyone have an idea what's going on here? We have a class together this upcoming semester and I was planning on asking her on a date after class, but I feel like at this point it'd may get really awkward. Perhaps I waited too long?
Assada Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 First of all, you should be seeing other girls and stop focusing on just the one. Secondly, you might want to back off and stop puppy dogging around her. If she calls you, tell her you want to go out and have some fun. You dont have to ask her on a "date" per-se
umirano Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 You don't sound too sure of what you want yourself, OP. So the fact that there's nothing going on really has at least as much to do with your own passivity as with her awkwardness. I think you both see each other as a potential date. During the time "conversations went well", were you actually talking to each other, or was it just texts?
