Cha Cha Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 I'm a swimmer, which everyone knows makes you huge in general. I like my legs because even though they're big, they're very toned. My arms on the other hand are enormous! I have very thick skin which doesn't help, and also some fat on them, but the biggest problem is the muscles are huge. I haven't been swimming because of a shoulder injury, and I want to know how to make my arms smaller. Someone please help me! <3
snarky Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 I was a swimmer for 10 years and had the "huge" and toned arms that come along with it. Four years after quitting swimming, my arms were the same size, but not as toned.... I do triathlons now and my arms aren't AS strong as they were but they're still pretty strong - my boyfriend loves it. I guess I'm no help....
joel Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 how does swimming make u huge lol. weight lifting does. i done swimming never made me huge
Pocky Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 I have large arms as well. I absolutely hate it. I haven't worn a sleeveless shirt in years. I've just basically resigned myself to the fact that I'll never have small arms.
RoxStar Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Swimming makes your arms big because you are pulling most of your body weight through the resistance of the water. Granted it isnt your full body weight due to boyancy but its a work out. Swimming is great exercise. Gymnasts can have similar problems and the a great way to stretch out bulky muscles is to try Pilates or Yoga.
