toscaroscura Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 IME these things can be very different. "Liking" for some people is very shallow. They like your look, they like talking to you, they like your shoes, they like the idea of sex with you, who knows? Yet I have seen people who "like" someone behave callously toward them, especially in the early stages of dating. Caring, to me, is deeper. With caring, you put yourself in the other person's shoes and think about how your actions or inactions will make someone feel. I think a lot of dating heartache could be saved if people "cared" more than they "liked". That being said, I think with some people, like perhaps yourself, caring and liking is more intertwined. But for others it's not. 2
