kenmore Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Anyone here have Linkedin or Facebook problems? (kinda duh) Here's my thing. I saw my wife for the first time in four months Dec 24. That same evening I got a linkedin notification that she wanted me to connect. I took that as a positive sign. Days later, even though I clicked connect, I got another one saying she is still waiting (I did get an error saying my email address is not correct...huh? It was sent to my email address!) Tonight, I got a totally new Facebook notification, and she has me blocked there. WTF??? These networks are totally screwing with me! I hate them! Anybody else having these issues? Does that mean she "unblocked" me? WTF? I repeat! WTF!!! I have hated these social networks as long as I have known about them. She's screwing with me I know it? Should I ignore?
Dontfindme Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Maybe she unblocked you to stalk you online, and then realized you would somehow be notified, so she re-blocked you? Hypothesizing.
Author kenmore Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Thanks. I think I won't reply. She should be able to do better than that...and I just won't use FB anymore...it sucks anyway! 1

SurplusIndifference Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 LinkedIn is sketchy...it has added people for me, without my permission, before. It's a common thing with them. It's also been known to use your email contact list to try to get other people to join. 1
Author kenmore Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Well, this morning I forwarded the message to my wife and asked if she's sending me those, and she replied by saying no, she thought I was sending them to her! Odd coincidence that the first one came hours after we saw each other for the first time in months...but I'm sure stranger things have happened. At least I know I can set them to "ignore"
carhill Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Those systems social hack e-mail boxes and broadcast 'connect' invitations to whatever is in there. I recently got one from a old MW who's now a 'real estate professional' and whom I haven't had contact with in five years. Trust me, they hacked her e-mail I also got one from my exW and a myriad of other people whom I have no contact with anymore but apparently my e-mail address is buried in their contact files.
