And, despite being at an age where it's "me, me, me" (a teenager) - instead of spending his last moments wallowing in sorrow, he's turning his sorrow into joy by doing what he can to help others in a similar plight. "Turning lemons into lemonade" is an understatement here. God bless this young man.
