Gloria25 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Well, putting step #1 into getting back out there in the dating scene.... Back on OLD:bunny::bunny: I'm sure this will be fun I'm already looking at meet-ups and volunteering - not so much to meet guys, but cuz I wanna get back into doing things. But, gonna wait till I get settled into back at work before I commit to a meet-up and/or volunteer thing. Any body else taking the plunge early this 2015?!? 1
Author Gloria25 Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 No, what's the point. 42 year old and not that attractive just doesn't cut it. So many more guys on there that I'm a bit intimidated by the competition. Awww.... But how many of those profiles are fake, players, or just serial daters? If I see a tooooo good lookin' guy on there, I usually pass. Cuz, the first thing that comes to my mind is player, fake (probably hired by the OLD site to post a fake profile) or a serial dater. But you see, that's why meet-ups, hobbies, and volunteering helps too. You can get to connect with others w/o them having to do it solely on your picture and some online "resume/profile". I don't think I date Don Juans, I'm pretty down to earth when it comes to what I find attractive, but I will admit that some guys I met in real life, if I saw their profile on OLD w/o getting to know them, I'd probably look them over. With OLD, it's too easy to just flip through profiles w/o giving people a chance.
Diezel Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I'm back in the mix with OLD and Meet-Ups. Have my first ever OKC date (barring a last minute flake). Going out tonight as well with someone I've known from Meetup. We'll see how this all goes. I set my expectations to LOW all the time. 1
Dallers Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Two days in and 2015 is looking up for me! Had 48 hours of amazing luck compared to 365 horrible days last year.... Now why would I want to ruin it with online dating 2
