So, me and my ex where together for almost 4 years. We had a great relationship, she even said how happy and lucky she was just 2 weeks before we broke up. anyway, she ended it with me. it was all very unexpected and a huge shock. We had recently been talking about our future together and she was often the one to bring it up first. It took a week or less before she started seeing someone new, and she stared beig horrible to me in ways she never has before. Her new relationship seemed to be moving really fast, they have been together for 3 weeks now. And do all the stuff me and her used to do. he is literally the exact opposite of me and she even said she never ever imagined she would be with him. Anyway, she came home for Christmas and came straight to see me. Told me she was sorry for the way she treated me, she was crying a lot, and she even told me she loves me. we've met up a few times since she's been home. Went for walks. Talked. Went out for dinner. And even went out together for new year. She then came back to my house and we cuddled on my bed like we used too then She went home. But her new bf had already planned to visit her so he is staying at her parents house for the next 3 nights. Was this guy a rebound all along? she said how happy she was but she also said she keeps thinking of me and the thugs I used to do that he doesn't. I love her so much and I would do anything. To have her back. So is he a rebound? What should I do?

Well to me she's definitely playing a lot of games and possibly playing both positions between you and the other guy. The two of you been together for four years and out the blue she decides to end things with you. Then the holiday approaches, she reappears and now wants to rekindle things. You mention that her new bf is staying at her parents house with her, which seems to be serious in my opinion. I don't think she would allow a 'rebound' to stay a few nights at her parents house. I would simply ask her that now that she has expressed her guilt and love for you, will she continue that relationship with the other guy. If she says yes, then it's best you move on. You don't want to have your feelings getting stringed along with her indecisiveness.

Hmm, I can't help but think that she was seeing this guy before she broke up with you.

Signs: being cold suddenly (1 week) prior to the breakup, breakup, seeing someone a week or less after the breakuup. I dunno.

P.S. Something like that happened to me.

I should probably mention that 4 days before the breakup we had to have an abortion.. So she could stay at uni. I stayed with her as long as I could but had to leave the next day for work. she didn't talk to me much until braking up with me. this other guy goes to uni with her and was around her (with some other peopl) when I couldn't be.

I don't understand why you would allow yourself to be a doormat man. How old are you guys? If your ex is already seeing someone only a few weeks after your breakup then she either had already been talking to this guy while you were dating, or she was emotionally checked out way before you discovered it.

The guy very well could be a rebound. Either way you can't be an emotional tampon for a girl when things aren't working out for her current flingandr use you as a plan B.

You need to cut her loose and work on yourself. She clearly is not interested in you. Not trying to be a jerk just my opinion.

My ex left me then a week later was on a date with someone else. Both of our exes are in rebound relationships. They have not had time to grieve your relationship ending and therefore have had no time to self-reflect and improve. Do not let her control you. It seems like she is enjoying having the power and playing games. Its hard but let her see you happy without her. Take back control. Do no contact for a bit, no less then 30 days. Ultimately if she really loves you she will be back, then the ball will be in your court with you having the power.

For as soon as she started to date this other guy and as fast as it was moving. There would have had to be something there in order for her to feel comfortable enough to do that. Dude, she was dating this other dude before she pulled the trigger on your relationship.
