Hello people. I'm new here. I'm sorry if what i've posted is unsuitable here. I've tried searching elsewhere in this forum, but i thought that this is the most relevant category.

I am an Asian who is also a metrosexual. And I'm really particular about my image, especially when it is concerning with the facial skin and everything else on the face. When i was young, like 9 yrs old or so, i started the habit of sleeping late because of many homework that I need to complete. Due to that, eye-bags starts to develop. I didn't care much because initially, I thought that it is inheritance (my mum told me that). Though, I'm not sure if it is really true today. And even if it's true, does anyone knows how to remove it? Strangely, only senior citizens acquire eye bags, I'm still 16-and-a-half! Worst, recently, dark circles starts to appear under my eyes though I have enough sleep evryday - don't know why. How to remove these? And does sliced cucumber really helps?

Those bags aren't only on senior citizens. I've even seen a few movie stars/tv stars with them. It's genetic, I believe.

The blue patches are usually known as 'allergic shiners'. It's a result of the blood in the vessels under your eyes being prevented from circulating properly due to swelling because of allergies. You can lessen both things by putting hot (not burning hot!) compresses on them for a half-minute a few times a day.

Wow! I really didn't expect such a speedy reply. May i ask? Do I literally place that hot object on the blue patches, or dark circles or whatever they call it?

Yes, but don't make it too hot. Just run a washrag under hot water and, when it's comfortable to you, hold it against the blue patch. My dermatologist told me to do it - it's supposed to open up the vessels and allow them to drain. You'll likely have the blueness for your lifetime but you can minimize it a bit.

They do make creams for under-eye circles but I'm not sure how good they are for you. Thought I read something about them not being good for you but check with your doc since new products are always turning up - some that even work.
