Would it be weird to ask a girl online if she wanted to go to a NYE party?

My cousin is having a NYE Party tomorrow night. I was wondering if it'd be weird if I asked a girl I just started talking to if she wanted to come? She said she has no plans. The only slight issue is that she is 6 ft, 2 in and I'm 5 ft, 10 in.

I would find it weird but she might not.

 

The height thing is more an issue if the guy is very short, she will have a hard time finding a guy taller than her. I have dated a couple of girls almost my height and it didn't bother me at all even when they wore heels.

It's not weird but don't be disheartened if she says no. I'm not sure I would feel safe enough to go to party with a man I just met on line. That doesn't mean I wouldn't want to meet him but a whole party where I knew no one not even the guy who brought me might be awkward. At the very least get your host's permission to extend the invite so she can bring a female friend along.
