There is no one answer to this question, you might as well ask what the meaning of life is as you will not find one answer that will appease all parties. Why do white guys love Asian women? I have a few white guy friends who have been with Asian women in the past and seem to love them as opposed to white women.

 

 

Of course you could apply this question to any combo of racial paring, but what is the specific pull of the white man to the Asian woman? Before anyone jumps down my throat and says "you are being stereotypical", I have seen it enough and surely others have seen it enough to know that it's true enough. So please tell me what it's about.

Some women like black men, some women like Japanese men, some guys like Asian women, some men like large women, some like petite women...It just is what it is.

Exotic looks, the feeling of so-called "otherness", the typically petite physique of many Asian women, hell I've heard guys citing the stereotype that many Asian women 'put their men first' or enjoy being more 'traditional'. It all depends. Sometimes guys are just really attracted to what is different from themselves. I know a lot of white guys are interested in me (I'm black) for similar reasons. Also, Asian women, in my opinion, are some of the most beautiful women in the world. It's very easy to see why a guy might be pulled in that direction.

 

I don't know, I've never really pondered why some people are so drawn to those of a specific race outside of their own and have just accepted it as a thing that "IS". Personally, I've got Latin Fever pretty bad. I pretty much exclusively date Hispanic men. I mean, I live in Los Angeles so there's no shortage of candidates but I have no idea what prompted it in the beginning. I'm just attracted to them in a way I never have been attracted to black men or even white men (though I have dated and would date white guys).

Hydra is right about the exotic looks thing. Some Asian women are really beautiful. They just look different than white girls.

 

Also who doesn't like Chinese food?

 

I've never dated an Asian girl and it's something I'd like to try.

I think they are perceived as more feminine, and I think a lot of men just like feminine women. Which isn't necessarily painted nails and frilly outfits, of course. I've also known some white guys who liked Asian women, but I also noticed they went for smaller women of other races (white, Latin, etc) who were feminine in certain ways. I think many men just like to feel a bit 'manly' (for lack of a better term) with their woman and maybe they get that vibe more easily with Asian women, because Asian women are often perceived as very feminine.

 

Or maybe they just like how Asian women look. Often attraction just is what it is lol.

My theory is that Asian women are so infatuated with white men that they make it easy for the white guys to meet women who will fawn over them. So white guys will gravitate towards the Asian women because they are relatively easy to attract, so long as you're white.

I worked for several years in Asia. Of all the non-Western countries I've been to, Asian countries tend to "worship" Western culture and Caucasian physical features the most. In fact, many Asians go under the knife to look more Caucasian.

 

As for the dating phenomenon, women tend to want to date up the social ladder (ideally women want men with higher social status).

 

Men don't mind dating down the social ladder. Indeed, many men don't want women who "outrank" them (if you will) as men tend to have more easily bruised egos.

 

Thus white men are considered trophy boyfriends by many Asian women. On the flip side, some white men view the local women as more submissive than the women back home, which in my experience, is not altogether true.

Japanese women DO NOT worship white men. Not here. Maybe in someplace like Cambodia, but here it's actually considered a step down the social ladder t date a non-Japanese.

White guys like Asian women for ONE reason: they're HOT. They're slim, they take care of themselves, they dress well, they do their hair and make-up, they don't leave the house in sandals and sweatpants. They are feminine and gorgeous and act like women. White men that grew up in places like America, Australia and England where the women can pretty much pass for guys these days with the way they curse, drink, yell, etc. are astounded when they see the difference in Asian females.

In Japan, there's a big difference between dating an Nigerian man and a Swedish man.

 

Dating a white guy would be viewed as non-conforming. It most certainly would not be viewed as "a step down". Japanese people view the Caucasian face as handsome/beautiful...large eyes, narrow face, pointy nose. Being white, especially with blonde hair and blue eyes, confers status in Japan

 

Japanese people generally have a very positive view of Western/Northern Europe and North America.

 

Asian women aren't more "subservient" or any of that nonsense.

No one said they were...but some (not all) white men think that. In fact, you're claim that Asian women are more feminine than "mannish" white women is another way of saying they're more subservient.

When I was in Japan, I saw beautiful Japanese women, average Japanese women, and unattractive Japanese women. This is true of the women in every single country.

I think at first its mostly physical, specially in smaller towns where folks are mostly Caucasian. The looks, hair, accent, colouring, white men find me very different. Mind you it goes both ways too, I've also experienced being looked down upon for being Asian.

Because you rarely see overweight Asians. Also their bodies are petite in nature.

 

I think mostly because Asian women look highly younger than their real age. Take Ming-Na Wen from "Agents of SHIELD." The woman is around 50 and she looks to be in her early 30s.

 

They have very little grey hair when they age. I don't think they have any grey when they turn 40.

I'm Asian. The guy I'm talking to is white. (In fact, most of the guys I've been dating happen to be white.) he's not some loser who can't sem to attract any other types of girls. He's cute, has a great body, and smart, and has not had any Asian girlfriends in the past. I don't think he likes me because I'm subservient or any of that. He likes me because I'm cute, smart, and I have stuff going for me. I think that's the reason why many white guys are attracted to Asian girls, at least in the US. We're smart, ambitious, have a good head on our shoulders, etc. I can't speak for all Asian girls of course, but this is what I observed from the Asian/white pairings that I've seen. I don't agree with the subservient thing unless you're talking about mail order brides.. Asian girls are not subservient at all, not the American ones at least.. Truthfully, I'm pretty b*tchy and I play hard to get with guys even throughout the relationship.

Things are different here now. We're in the middle of a very serious economic crisis. White guys haven't been in vogue in a long time. Women want financial stability and that means marrying a salaryman. Sure, some of them are still open to a little something on the side with gaijin as a little thrill, but for most of them there's no future there. The days of the blue-eyed blond haired Charisma Man are long gone.

 

I expected respsonses like yours. Guess what? I don't give a ****. If anything you should be happy. Less competition...more and more Western men will abandon their home countries for Asia and you can have the pick of the litter of the Western women we leave behind. Everyone's happy.

There's a number of reasons, many of which were hit in this thread quite nicely.

 

But as a bottom line, if I was a white woman who was a bit longer in the tooth who lives in a more diverse area, yea I would be a little worried. Because there's many, many Asian women taking white men and so that essentially dilutes their dating pool because most white women strongly prefer white men.

 

Or they could try dating the Asian men who have been left without dance partners.

 

Either way, people limit themselves severely when they restrict on race, but just my opinion.

I don't think there's anything at all wrong or weird about you finding Asian women to be very attractive, or even more attractive than any other race by far, but compliments given by putting others down are generally not received very well. You could have written a wall of text about all the things you love about Asian women and it would have been chill, but talking trash about all Western women was unnecessary and hostile. That's all.

 

I got a compliment in some other thread not too long ago but the person who complimented me did so by saying that I wasn't like the "other" women here on LS because I was X/Y/Z things, and that still made me uncomfortable even though the compliment was directed at me. I wound up stumbling all over myself trying to deflect it because again, complimenting by putting others down is awkward and hostile.

 

But if you really like Asian women there is nothing wrong with that at all.

You're right. For the Japanese, it's a cultural thing. The Japanese are a highly homogenized society, so dating outside the ethinicity is not common or encouraged. However, once you leave the island and go to neighboring Asian countries, the mentality is considerably different.

Well, I've noticed that - but per the link posted ^^ at least they look pretty darn good till they hit 60.

 

But come on....I've seen too many women here in the states start declining in looks, fitness, and grooming waaay before 60. Shoot, some start in their 20's....Like my neighbors I talk about here and there. They're early 50's, but look like late 60's. They don't even get up to walk to the mailbox. They're both obese, and if outside their house looks like a mess (what the public can see) - you can only imagine what inside looks like (what the public can't see).
