It begins with a rather attractive woman about my age talking, My first impulse was that I would be interested in someone like her. But then she starts to talk with a definite tone and attitude: "It is so nice to find a place when men are actually looking for women their own age"

 

 

Whoops, I take it back. I rather see escorts. That was all that it took for me to know that she isn't worth wasting my time. She has an attitude about men and she couldn't hide it for five seconds.

 

 

And what do we see next? A man about my age who got all sort of winks right away and had a great experience... And, OMG, he is ACTUALLY wearing a sweater! It might as well be a Hallmark commercial.

 

 

That commercial is clearly targeted at women my age and only supports my inclination to think that most women my age have been too brainwashed to be worth my efforts. It is like having a dating service for older men that advertises women in bikinis. And they have those. They are called hookup sites.

 

 

Sell to the stereotype.

 

There are so many men out there, even at my age, looking for younger women. You and other men here, are constantly pushing a certain stereotype of older women, and you talk about your nubile young neighbour. I haven't heard anything about her that's notable, except for her age.

Perhaps, but companies do a lot of market research to determine what their target customers WANT to hear. They don't just make this stuff up. They do research to see what is going to resonate with their desired customers, So they made the determination that insulting men with the first sentence is how to sell to older women. So what does that tell you?

 

It seems you are just looking to be outraged. If a commercial winds you up this much, you need thicker skin. Should I be as insulted as you are when beer commercials come on? Should I base my beliefs about men and my age group based on the lager swilling men in the commercials and the message behind it? Come on.
