preraph Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I wouldn't normally tell my mother anything. For example, I warned a guy she was coming to town so he'd stay away -- but unfortunately, this made him show up instead and keep me up talking all night. We ended up in a brawl on the floor with my mother sleeping (I hope) in the next room. He did it just because I told him not to. I always told my close friends way too much. And we had an extended crowd that usually knew what everyone was up to to some extent. For me, it was stuff like voicing my insecurities mostly or how romantic the evening was. TMI. Depends on the girl. But yes, girls talk. And so do guys.

Danda Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Depends on which friend.. If I've been really interested in a guy and think it is / could go well, I won't talk about it with a friend who is lonely or having a bout of bad luck, but I might gush a bit to a friend who is in a better mood and wants to gush together about the good stuff goin on in our lives. If a date went pretty terribly then I have one friend in particular with the same warped sense of humor as me, we tend to laugh over our little bizarre and miserable experiences in life. But when it comes to assessing potential in a possible mate, I don't really discuss that with friends. We all have our own needs, desires, perspectives, etc and mine are really the only ones that matter when I'm making a decision about my romance life.
TB Rhine Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Basically complain about them not having enough money, or not being hot enough, or being [ugh] too nice. Just read Jezebel and you'll get an idea of what catty womanspeak is all about.
