Correlation does not necessarily equate to causation, and this is a 'discussion paper', not really a peer-reviewed study.

 

At any rate, even if we give them the (huge!) benefit of the doubt that it's true, so what? If someone is abstaining from marriage or LTRs because they prefer to jerk off to videos of other people having sex, that's a good thing - these people should certainly NOT be attempting marriage or LTRs!

Again, this, like so many things on the internet, needs to be taken with a grain of salt and put into proper perspective.

 

Sure, if you're one of those people that feels relationships are more bother than they're worth, knock yourself out with porn or sex clubs or one night stands or whatever form finding your release takes. It IS best you never enter into an exclusive or monogamous relationship including but especially marriage.

 

Even though I may not subscribe to the same belief system I have far more respect for anyone who plays above board and takes ownership as well as responsibility for their decision and desire to want to just f*ck around NSA style. To each their own.

 

There is nothing sadder than trying to fit a square peg into a very round hole.
