So i got left for another man 6 months ago. Still hurts. Anyway, met this girl at a local gym i worked at. We talked a few times, she always smiled, gave me that promising stare and just seemed generally interested. I accidentally found out where she worked when i walked into a retail store the other day. I noticed she was staring at me again, I thought ok, this girl seems to like me. I did something creepy, grabbed her phone number off her gym membership and texted it ( i wasnt going to bug her at work and i dont work the gym often enough to wait to see her). She never answered the text, the next day i was working the gym, she came in and asked if it was me who texted her. i said yes, her face lit up. She was so happy and said she would love to go for coffee. That was thursday, come sunday, or planned coffee date time, 10 minutes prior she phones up and said that she wouldnt be showing up, she needs to get back on her feet, she just moved to live with her grandfather. She pretty much just said goodbye forever.

iM actaully a tad heartbroken over this, we got along great and in the same manner my ex and i did before we started a 5 year relationship. i told her that if she wanted to be friends or talk i am open to it, but i would not message her again.

just sharing my story, find this so odd.Kind of hurtful. She wasnt giving me the normal i kind of like you look, but a very strong one. Then she cancelled and my chance is gone.

Kinda creepy just to call/text someone who didn't give you their phone number. You could lose your job for that. Next time find the courage to talk to her and ask her directly for her number.

yup, it was most certainly creepy what i did. I only work that job once a month though and it was my last shift the next day. I really had no other way about going about it, i dont believe that the way i asked her was the issue though. Would i do this again? Definitely not, she just seemed really into me and i had to make a move. I am not some social twerp though, i do understand how bad it was to do what i did.

She rang you beforehand to cancel. I'd be over the moon to get that from the women who flake on me, ten minutes before or not. It's paying you more respect than the vast majority of flakes. And a call too, not a text. I'd be happy with that and move on.

i totally agree, what she did was the right thing. She seemed so , so interested in me. When she found out i was the creepy texter she couldnt be happier. Maybe she does actually have issues in her life, maybe not, who knows. i wont bother her again but still. I believe there was a lot of promise there, too bad i'll never know

So, i got what i deserved, she told them gym on me and i got fired. After she cancelled i texted her and said i'd gladly be her friend and that if she ever wanted to talk she had my number and that i wouldnt be bothering her again. she still felt the need to tell my bosses.I understand that i shouldnt have grabbed her number that way. I just dont understand why she would litteraly say to my face it wasnt creepy i did it that way, she'd love coffee and the smile couldnt leave her face. didnt text at all, flaked.. i said i was sorry, said id never bother her and then still had to tell my bosses. oh well, i deserved it

my life is pretty much creep by radiohead
