Jordan185 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Long story but a good one I guess. I wanted to ask this girl out but had decided against it since I work with her at our college gym. Until one of our other coworkers said he talked to her and said she "totally would go on a date if I asked her." I figured why not? She even set up a way to get away from everyone at work party so we could be alone. I asked and she said yes, even made sure we had eachothers contact info. The day I tried to set up a date she was working that weekend but said she could probably do it the next. She said she would have to wait for her schedule to come out. I waited a week and asked when she was free but she hasn't responded. I'm confused and lost as to why she would go through all of this effort to help me out and now she is doing the opposite. One my friends said to relax because she went home for the break and is with her family she hasn't seen in a while.

Anyways this is the worst time of year to ask someone out on a date. Everyone is busy during the holidays. anywho never invest yourself because she said yes. Ask other girls out in the meantime.

Let her know in a casual but real manner when you know she is back that your still excited to see her, at her convenience. If she still does't get back to to you within a few days to a week, then write it off as her not being in a space to follow through on what she wants right then. It doesn't mean she didn't want you, just that she wasn't ready to want you. This is at the core of a lot of people's running away. They know/think/believe that they aren't ready or not worthy in some way.
