angel.eyes Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Is there a date planned anywhere in all of this? If not, why not?
Author raider09 Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 Is there a date planned anywhere in all of this? If not, why not? how should i go about initializing a date without seeming desperate?
Danda Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Feels like a case of significant yet missing context.
Author raider09 Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 Feels like a case of significant yet missing context. what do you mean?
LisaSmith_1970 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Yeah, are you leaving some info out? Just text/call her if you really want to know, get it over with.
Author raider09 Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 ME Hey, hows it going? Her Well. You're gonna hate me. Me lol what did you do? Her "I didn't end up doing the test. i looked at all the answers you sent me and tried studying it and realized i forgot everything etc....and im sick i feel bad because u tried to help me and i didn't even do it D:" ME Really ? i did all that for nothing lol well i guess you made the right decsion then, instead of risking a lower grade. are you finished with finals yet? no response after that
toscaroscura Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 She was probably insulted. "I feel really bad because you helped me study and I still failed" "I helped you for nothing" Is how that came across to me. The "lol" in there just sounds passive aggressive. It's a case of foot-in-mouth but I'm not sure how you can recover.
Author raider09 Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 i would have to message her right?
Danda Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Yeah go ahead and message her but keep it friendly and chill, like, "Hey just wondering how you've been," or something. When you said your last text to her was, "Really I did all that for nothing lol," my first thought was that that could have been the end of sooo many different conversations. Like what if you two had been texting a long time, you asked her for a date or something and she declined, and then you were referring to having wasted your time talking to her. That would be pretty bad, as an example lol. 1
toscaroscura Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 i would have to message her right? Is there a way you can do this in person or at least over the phone? If it was me I'd offer a sincere apology and tell her it came out totally wrong and you realized after the fact. Tell her you enjoyed helping her and would like to do it again! Which would be an in for a casual coffee date or something. I just think a more personal approach would work better to convey the sincerity.
