Depends on the girl, and what you're looking for, and how she responds. Also, don't forget that your phone can also make phone calls... some people like to talk instead of (or as well as) text.

I never try to get to know someone through texting As it's just words on the screen and it's hard to tell if someone REALLY likes you as actions always speak louder than words.
