Since I have broken up with my ex I have been reading, lots and lots of reading. Who knew I was so ignorant in relationships.

I loved him so much I did everything for him. I put myself out so much. I didn't accept much from him because he had so much stress in his life. I knocked back his offers of help and soldiered on.

I was always, always available.

Has anyone here behaved this way and still managed to turn it around and get their ex back?

I still love this guy so much.

Well, I realized how clueless I was after my last relationship. I basically acted like a doormat with no boundaries. I don't think the reason matters all that much in regards to getting someone back. The problem is that your ex has an ingrained image of you, and you can't undo that. When people are done, they are done. All of us have made mistakes. Don't beat yourself up. There is no manual on how to date and act in relationships, and we all have to learn by trial an error.
