Meeting my crush for the first time, how to make the first date not awkward?

So I'm a freshman in college and I haven't really had a boyfriend or dated anyone since my Sophomore year of high school. Recently I started talking to this guy online (through tinder) and we really clicked! He's a total catch to me and he only lives about an hour away. Since we started talking we have exchanged phone numbers and are friends/followers on social media. I'm very sure he is who he says he is, so catfishing wont be an issue. I'm just really concerned that the connection we have now might fizzle when we meet for the first time because I'm really socially awkward when I meet new peopl. I know everyone says to just be yourself and whatnot, but I have a tendency to freeze up in situations where I'm not sure what to do. Does anyone have any tips for how to keep a conversation going or good first date questions to ask? Flirting tips would also be appreciated!! :)

To avoid any awkward moments I would suggest doing something physical for the first date like bowling or some other activity where you both are doing something. You can talk while doing that and get to know each other while doing something fun! Afterwards once you know each other a little better and feel more comfortable with each other, grab a bite and just talk. Just an idea. Good luck!
