mejustme Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I am new to this whole dating thing...I am in my 40's, and two years divorced. I have been dating the same guy for one year. I know it sounds childish, however, I don't like his behavior on facebook. I do not have a facebook account for obvious reasons, but I do check out his page. He is very flirtatious with other woman on there. We are dating only each other, at least that's what we agreed upon. But his actions on there seem rather peculiar. For instance, I mutual guy friend of ours had two of his GIRL friends at his house, and my BF chimes in, thanks for the invite. Then my BF and a girl that he used to date, go back and forth on there about how he wasn't invited, and that he'd like to be. It got a little raunchy with the girl he used to date commenting with a "meowwww" comment, meaning a girl fight, then he reply's with "I like cats" this went back and forth for 17 comments...I think it's inappropriate to say the least, and disrespectful to me. He doesn't know that I can see this, and I don't know how to approach this...It's been a bone of contention in the past. I suppose I am sensitive to this b/c of my Ex husband, but I think it is totally uncalled for. Am I wrong?
smackie9 Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Need to see the majority of the conversation. So far this to me is just friendly adult banter.....not to be taken literally. If you don't like this kind of behavior, find yourself a new BF. Telling him to cut it out is just going to put a wedge between you anyways. This is what dating is all about....finding out what they are like, and if there are things you don't like, don't try to change them. It's better to meet someone who is on the same page with you on such things.
PegNosePete Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I do not have a facebook account for obvious reasons Your post does not make these reasons obvious to us at all. It sounds like normal banter. I can't see anything abnormal in the few messages that you posted - and they were all "public" comments right? Not personal messages between just the 2 of them? Unless there's more content that you haven't posted, I don't see anything to worry about.

Of course, that's just my opinion, which is why I am on this site. I would like to see if I am off base with this. • No invite again?!?! PegNosePete Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 It's pretty immature banter but I don't see anything inappropriate or disrespectful there. 1
