I called and took them about 10 minutes. So I decided to called a friend instead... Lol..

I called one of these so-called "hotlines" once and yeah, after being put on hold for however long it was, I got some tired bored old lady (you could just tell her age) who simply passed on mealy-mouthed platitudes.

 

Or maybe that was deliberate? A deliberate tactic to avoid potentially further inflaming whatever passions a caller might have? After all, you never know what words might set someone off, right....

 

Anyway, I found 'em beyond useless. But of course I could be wrong -- maybe, since folks who announce their suicidal intentions tend to not follow through (my mother just did it one day), hotline staff are trained to be "boring," for lack of a better word, the way frozen soups and meals tend to be bland because people's tastes vary so much and the manufacturer just wants the biggest market share and so goes for something smack in the middle....
