insert_name Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Seems to be a few threads around at the moment with guys not having much luck with OLD and it got me wondering how these never ending lack of replies can be turned into a positive. I got to thinking about how the fitness industry uses gamification to encourage people to continue going to the gym and mused on whether dating sites could do something in that vein to encourage guys who strike out, but I cant think of how that would work apart from handing out 'greatest loser' awards for the guy who sent the most messages and got the least replies that month- not exactly what I am getting at! So we have to find positives as individuals and its inspired me to start a 'reward' system for every rejection. For every failed interaction on OLD, do something that will benefit your personal development. Me, I want to turn my slim figure into an athletic one, but i can't be arsed to go to the gym at the best of times, especially not at this time of year. However, after last nights latest rejection I decided that for every message I have sent I am going to do a high intensity 5k on the rowing machine. Ive already done my first session and it nearly killed me. ive got 35 messages still in the bank to plough through, by the time I reach 100 I reckon I will be raising a glass to these women and thanking them for motivating me to improve myself where I could not find the motivation elsewhere. Or do an hour of study on a subject to improve your career or stick a tenner in a jar towards a holiday. Just do something for yourself so you get something back. You will realise you have made it when you look forward to the rejections more than you would a reply I guess this whole idea is stating the obvious and we should be doing it anyway but negative energy is often the greatest motivator to make change in our lives- so show those women that their rejection, far from denting your belief has actually spurred you on to be even more ****ing awesome than you already were- and its going to be some far more worthy girl that is going to reap the benefit of the rejection. I mean it has to beat complaining about it on the internet- nothing is going to change about OLD (not unless a load of hot & desperate women suddenly stage a coup and drastically change the dynamic), so you may as well change yourself instead. We're gonna make it brahs
kolleamm Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 That's not such a bad idea actually I might start doing that too! For every rejection online I will add a second to my plank hold. For every 100 rejections I will buy myself something small.
LookAtThisPOst Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Nah, for every rejection or just being ignored when it comes to online dating, I have a slice of pizza per rejection. Much more satisfying AND positive!
