LifeandPerseverance
I kept thinking there was a poll option and I don't see one. So I'll just post it as a thread. GUYS OUT THERE: What's more "intimate" to you with a Y chromosome...Cuddling with a woman--I'm defining spooning, specifically. Or holding hands with a new woman? Ladies give your input, too, on what you THINk based on experience with men in your life. Andddd go! Watch. As soon as I post this I will find a poll button option. It never fails. Leroy82
If I HAD TO PICK ONE. I would pick Cuddling. Because everyone knows, spooning leads to forking.
slizl
Well, I would definitely say that cuddling is, HOWEVER, I do like holding hands in public. I want everyone to know that this is MY girl and I am her man, and people show this by holding hands
todreaminblue
i would have to say holding hands......cuddling to me is something that is quick ....unless its in the bedroom and leading to other things,.......a hug hello a hug goodbye....a hug to say hey luv ya........but holding hands is often a longer connection a comfortable public way of showing you are with someone..heart with hands....its sweet and g rated........deb
somedude81
Both are intimate to me. Though cuddling is the most intimate of the two. I wouldn't feel comfortable holding hands with a girl I haven't kissed. Cuddling and spooning is only with girls I've at least made out with.
Els
For me - definitely cuddling. Especially before bed, really gets all the soppy emotions flowing. Though I don't know what my guy would pick, tbh. He does seem to love holding hands too.
fortyninethousand322
I've held hands before, never cuddled. I think cuddling is more intimate, though holding hands was pretty intimate IMO.

I think cuddling/spooning is more intimate than holding hands. Holding hands with a woman is something I can do in the grocery store, in a church, in front of my parents. Spooning... less so. Why is this even a question?

I wouldn't feel comfortable holding hands with a girl I haven't kissed. Cuddling and spooning is only with girls I've at least made out with. This is interesting... Because you might be better off the other way round. Holding hands is an easy way to have physical contact early on, and if it goes down well it will make going for a kiss feel that much more natural.
StalwartMind
Both are amazing, but I'll cast my vote on holding hands. There's something more magical about the possibility of holding hands. Out and about I can lead her anywhere or her me, whereas cuddling is less mobile. Naturally like i said both are superb, but I really enjoy holding hands.
carhill
I voted against prevailing wisdom since I found the act of holding hands to be a wonderful and public way of expressing intimacy and love, as well as inspiring those feelings consistent with foreplay, both the act itself and how we held hands. My exW and I used to communicate with various, perceptible only to us, 'styles' of touch and caress while holding hands and didn't have to say a word. I thought that was pretty cool. This in no way discounts cuddling but, for myself, I found holding hands to be more intimate in my M, and it also carried over into the bedroom.
Frank2thepoint
Cuddling (or my personal favorite, canoodling) is more intimate than hand holding. But I also know how to make hand holding very intimate too. I'm a romantic like that.
me85
As a woman, I enjoy both cuddling and holding hands but to me, there's something so intimate and sweet about holding hands. I get more butterflies from holding hands, I think.
todreaminblue
for me its holding hands because i have been left to walk behind i actually walk pretty slow i get distracted by all around me ........... for a guy to walk beside me holding my hand even though i look at everything or point everything out.......is really special to me.... my daughter went shopping with me the other day ...and said to her granddaughter hold nannas hand bub.......which my grand daughter often does hold my hand to draw me back into reality......it grounds me.....and i love it....i do find it touching......as in my heart.......deb

Exactly. My last 2 boyfriends would walk ahead of me, which always bothered me. I think that's horribly disrespectful and unflattering for a man to do. As the old saying goes, "A man either walks beside or behind his woman...never ahead of her."

(= My ex and I were very affectionate. We'd always hold hands...until our hands got sweaty, then we'd have to take a break. lol Affection was never a problem. I'm looking for what you described. I'm looking for that look I've never seen anyone give anyone in real life...only in the movies. But it's not only in the movies and I'm not settling anymore. I've settled in all of my RSs. Never again, though. NEVER. AGAIN.
insert_name
Of all the things I miss most about being in a relationship, the number 1 by a country mile is having a girl wanting to hold my hand in public to show others that I am hers. Its a powerful (and intimate) statement, especially when they are the one who slips their hand in yours out of the blue while you are both walking along.
Quiet Storm
I love both holding hands and cuddling. My husband's always been protective- walks on the street side, sleeps on the side of the bed by the door. But hand holding is just so sweet. We have a certain way we hold hands, and he does this squeeze and looks right in my eyes Still works as good for me at age 38 that it did at 15.
MrNate 2.0
I voted for the hand holding. We are losing 2 to 1.
most_distant_galaxy
I think most men I dated prefered holding hands because they appeared happier when I reached for them out of the blue. Or they would always grab my hand if I was absentminded and forgot to do so. In general, I think they appreciated more when I touched them affectionately in unconventional settings. Cuddling in the bedroom is somewhat "customary" I think. If you ask me, I like both, but I think I also prefer holding hands.
