Amazingly enough, I've never been cancelled on! thank my lucky stars on that one.

 

 

The last time I had a first date though, it was the coldest day of the whole year, and I was expecting him to reschedule, but he didn't. He braved the weather!

One guy said that his mum was in hospital.

 

SAME guy also said that his dog was at the vet because he became paralysed...

 

Another guy from online dating stood me up on the first date! He claimed that the emergency services were at his house due to a tree falling on his house

She decided to get into a relationship with her best male friend. It was a damn shame too because that chick had a voice that would make me cream my pants.

Don't forget the pet. Someone would use their sick pet as an excuse. It's not as bad as a relative/parents, but yet enough for you not to question it.

did you ever end up meeting him?

"My car broke down the other day" even though she told me she walked to the walmart that is accrossed the street from the restuarant we were supposed to meet at.

 

"We are trying to figure out what to do with my dog, she needs surgery" on a sat night?

 

"my kid is sick" ok. following week "my dad is in the hospital". errr....

 

"i'm about 5 mins. away" then I guess she was abducted by aliens cause she never showed and I never heard from her again.

 

"I don't have a baby sitter" err your retired mom lives in an apartment attached to your house.

 

"I have to get my taxes done tonight"

 

All last minute flakes.

All of them happened when I sent them a text a few hrs before the date to confirm the time.

 

Makes me wonder if they would of even actually cancelled if I hadn't asked.

 

Hence why I stopped scheduling dates on the weekend.
