SerCay Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Story of my lifeee, I meet a boy, he likes me, I like him, we start flirting, then I just mentally BLOCK. I honestly do not know how to flirt... My friends have hours of conversations with people they've just met, they are leading those talks and flirting to and fro. Then there's me... unable to flirt Yes I'm officially unable to flirt. So there's this colleage, he likes me, I like him, and we started talking..now things are just turning weird. I've been like this for as long as I remember, and the fact that I've been in long relationships since my 18th doesn't really help.. Deep down, I think it has to do swith a sense of rejection..I don't want to get rejected so I turn awkward or something. Anybody that can share some ideas? or has had similar experiences?
lyndaaxo Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 You just have to do what comes naturally. Don't force yourself to be flirty if you're not a flirty person. Just be yourself and that will attract the guy you're meant to get! Besides, I find talking like friends for a while first does a lot more longer-term than flirting straight away. 2
d0nnivain Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Flirting is a bit of a skill but mostly it's about paying attention. Keep eye contact. Use a light touch on the arm. Smile. Ask relevant questions.

mammasita Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I meant flirting by text sorry should've mentioned... Texting......that should be EASY. Are you asking questions? Maybe quoting movies that you both like, relevant to the conversation..... Are you sure the awkwardness isn't all in your head?
