CurlyIam Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 Quite frustrating to read if you're a woman, if I may say so .
d'Arthez Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 Or a man who has been brought up civilized, and is left-handed. Just because I prefer chess over over weight-lifting ...
JadeStar Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 I found it be be interesting, however it stated SOME men with a high testastrone are more likely to cheat or not even ever marry. Dang my hubbys testastrone is really high, hmmmm??? Jade
quankanne Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 GREAT stuff, moi, you really know how to find them! This is prolly the best source for answers why we act the way we do in relationships, and gives me a healthier understanding of my guy ... I have to admit, when I first saw there were four pages, I thought to myself, "oh, no," but I was hooked by the humor ("she's trolling for a mate who will sire healthy children and protect and provide for her and them. And yes, maybe even buy them a family van"). great stuff, moi!
Author moimeme Posted March 19, 2005 Author Posted March 19, 2005 Glad you enjoyed it, Quank And of course it's not just about men - it talks about us wimmenfolks too. Actually, I wonder if he'll do a more in-depth followup on understanding how brain and chemistry affects women. Or maybe he already did! I'll poke around and see..
quankanne Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 WHAT? the positive health effects of swallering semen doesn't cover what we gals need to know about our bodies???!!!! you find the best resources -- I have the link about how hormones affect our mental health on both computers (home and work), and often send it to others when they're questioning mental health and medication ...
Author moimeme Posted March 19, 2005 Author Posted March 19, 2005 I've been interested in this stuff for as long as I can remember. I should've gone into the field.
Thinkalot Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Just read it moi- how interesting! you keep saying we are driven by our chemicals ...
LucreziaBorgia Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Great article - I'll probably email that link to a few friends of mine. Its unfortunate that a good deal of the people who need to understand it will probably reject it.
pseud Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 An interesting article. Daniel Amen has been published a few times in various Psychological journals, some of which I have used as sources in my academic career. I think it ought to be noted, however, that not everything alleged in this online article is proven fact.
Beth Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Oh My! That's a keeper! A study of 26 men with unusual sexual fantasies found that using medications to balance these two areas of the brain gave the men significant relief. But then, so did wearing an adult diaper and being handed a rattle. You can't tell with some people. LOL! It's a fast read -- I hope everyone will take a few minutes and read through it. Very interesting. It brought to mind many of the posts on the board and the problems that so many face - I think they would find this informative and maybe helpful in understanding their own issues. There were several areas where, as I was reading it, I thought to myself "ah, THAT explains it!" Thank you Moi!
Author moimeme Posted March 22, 2005 Author Posted March 22, 2005 I'm glad folks are enjoying it as much as I did! Just read it moi- how interesting! you keep saying we are driven by our chemicals That would be because I've read so many studies and articles about it. This particular article is great because he's gathered up a bunch of information I've seen in other places and knitted it nicely into an entertaining and informative read.
Wolvesbaned Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Great article Moi -- thanks for sharing! It is a keeper, I saved it myself Why she's staring at your ring finger Because it knows and tells all. University of Liverpool researcher John Manning has determined that the size of a man's ring finger is related to how much testosterone he received in the womb. That's true of your penis, as well. The more T, the longer they grow. It's interesting to note that your digital symbol of virility is also the finger on which she slips the golden shackle during the wedding ceremony. Ring finger eh, no feet or palm.. interesting
ReluctantRomeo Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Well done, toi-même... that's fascinating!
lilmoma1973 Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Hey All, Doesn't surprize me because "Men think with the wrong head" They should use their brains instead.... lol
