Where does a person finds information about doctors?

Like if they had any malpractices?

Or any kind of information when choosing a doctor.

If you are in the US, go to

http://www.ama-assn.org

You can see a list of all licensed doctors (they don't have to belong to the AMA to be on the site).

From there, you can link to see where they went to medical school, did their residency, and possible fellowships, and whether they hold any special memberships etc.

It’s very hard to find out if a physician has any black marks in their past, as it is one of the most protected and paternalistic professions around. It is, in essence, a monopoly in the united states, which is perpetuated by the entire residency match process. If you really have concerns about a physician's past, contact your state licensing bureau.

Hope this helps.
