brokenhearted10 Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 My partner and i have been together 9 years, living together for 4. Last week he told me he didnt love me anymore. I was completely shocked and never saw it coming. We talked about it for about an hour, i wanted to try and work it out but he didnt think it would change anything. He ended up leaving to stay with family, i asked when he left if that was it, is this the end are we over to which he replied no i dont know. So i have been left hanging for a week and it is excruciating. He has left everything his clothes furniture at my house and is living out of a suitcase with family, so i dont know whether to believe hes planning on coming back or what. I have managed to get him to agree to talk to me next week but i dont know what to say. We've built this life together and i dont want to throw it away without trying to work at it, how do i get him to give it a shot?
d0nnivain Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 You ask a few pointed Qs but let him talk. Q # 1 needs to be how long he has felt this way. Another Q needs to be if he knows anything that could change how he feels. You will have accept the fact that he may simply be "done" & there's nothing you can do about it.
