So I just joined Match 8 days ago. Went on 2 horrible dates already. I just wasn't that into them. Of course, I gracefully told them I wasn't interested when they asked for a second date. I am a very picky person.

I been talking to this guy for almost a week. He gave me his number and told me he was in Canada for work. I live in the US, so we communicated via a messaging system for almost a week. We have so much in common. We chatted all night till sunrise. We get along so well. Then finally he gets back into the US and calls me and we talked on the phone. I was automatically turned off by his whiny, girly, gayish voice. Now every time he message me something I think of a needy girl. He wants to meet tomorrow and I kind of don't want to waste my time, but I want to see this person who I been up all night talking to.

Why do some men sound/act like wussies? It's such a turn off. I want a tough, man to throw me around during sex and slap me a few times. His voice would kill my orgasm for sure.

I'll see if I can hook you up with 'War Machine' or Ray Rice. Those guys can knock you around a little.

That's just how they sound. Some men have higher voices - he might be anything but a wuss for all you know, he just probably sounds camp!

Just like some girls have much deeper, coarser tones and sound very masculine. I work in a call centre and some of the girls I phone I've accidentally called "sir".

As for "acting like wussies", well some men are just like that. It's their own individual nature - they may just have more feminine energy than most men. It's not something that turns you on, so that's all good. There's no real reason why, and I don't think it's particularly negative either. I know way too many guys like that who still get laid lots so they turn somebody on .

I'd say just keep looking till you find your bit of rough ;). It's an acquired taste but you'll find someone who brews well.

Before he was born and while he was in his mother's womb, he was going through the selection of voices available once he turns adult, he was actually going for a really masculine deep voice that would make any woman drop their panties on the floor all wet. However, as he was clicking the confirm button for his chosen voice, his dad accidentally stumbled over a bag on the floor and in his fall, his head hit the mother's belly and thus the baby's hand slipped at ended up selecting a completely different voice.

You should actually feel a bit sorry for the guy, unlike the rest of us awesome humans whom designed ourselves to perfection, this guy was unlucky his dad was a clumsy fool. :(

8 days and 2 dates? Give it time.

I spoke to a guy on the phone at work for a week before he was planning to attend a conference. He sounded 70 with one of those old man, raspy, slightly higher pitched voices. When he stopped by my office to introduce himself, I nearly fainted. He was 40 and gorgeous!

Meet the guy. You might like him.

Yeppers. The guy can do way better. Girls who use the word wussies are a big time turnoff.

Probably to annoy you.

There is a subculture in the adult industry you can try. Ever heard of Rocco Siffredi? He does really rough sex scenes. You're welcome.

Are you for real with this comment?

There's a guy in the IT Dept where I work who has this very soft, feminine sounding voice. When I first heard him, I thought he might be gay but he's not. Then I realized that listening to him is actually quite soothing. I'm not sure if you should judge this guy by his voice. Also your comment about being slapped and thrown around is a very odd thing to say.

That's strange. I want my women to sound like muscle cars, and I want them to use my penis as a stick-shift. If they sound like females, I'm turned off. There's nothing more attractive than a woman screaming 500 horsepower in third gear. Can't seem to find a woman like that. They all sound like they sip Starbucks coffee in the morning, use a treadmill at the gym, and complain about men.

I recommend you don't be so quick to write off people...

I know, in OLD I'm guilty of just flipping to the next profile, having cold feet for a first date, and if just "something" is wrong with the profile, I say "next".

But, IMO, that's a problem with OLD. It's hard to build a "connection" with someone just by looking at their resume. It's also hard to make a connection only after one or two dates.

Also, I don't know, but seems like on OLD everyone is expecting perfection...But, that doesn't even reflect real life. Look around, how many "purrrfect" couples do you see out there?

That's why I think meet-ups, hobbies, clubs, church, and/or volunteering is better. That way you can get to know someone on a friendly basis - often while doing things in common. That's how people meet and date in real life. They meet people at work, in college/school, in social circles, etc.

Where's the "double like" button?!?

But you better watch you cuz Iron Mike's punch is worst than his squeaky voice!!!

Isn't that what the OP is looking for? Someone who can toss her about? Just goes to show that a voice can be misleading ;)

Be sure you mention this in your profile. Personally, I would be much less likely to try and date a girl who calls herself very picky. I don't like paying for first dates that won't go anywhere.

Being picky means I know what I want. I don't just jump onto the next thing that comes my way.

It's not odd. A lot of people like some fun during sex and I like a man to take charge especially in the bedroom.

You must like rough sex to know about him because I've never heard of him.

Tell the guy what you want and mostly you'll get it.

Why would I lay around its sex? You must have boring sex.

Everyone's different.

You could blame this on gender equality or gender nuetral tendencies I suppose?

I dunno....Seems like a lot more effeminate looking/acting men then there were some 20-30 years ago, but thats just an observation..And in turn, I think a lot of women have become a bit harder and less "soft" then they once were.. as they say...

This isnt necessarily a bad thing, as this seems to be the general direction of things...As long as everyone likes it, then there isnt any issue..But for those looking for a more "old school" version, I think its going to get harder, for both sexes to find that type of person..

Just a thought..

It is really hard to find someone you really connect with, and you obviously did connect big time. Making assumptions as to how he is in the bedroom, BY HIS VOICE is nonsense.

Are you sure it isn't just some sort of panic and your own insecurity, that is making you renege on him now.

Meet the man, talk to him, hang out together, if then you are still turned off then fine but do not make, what i feel are silly assumptions, BEFORE you have even met him.

Yeah, don't waste your time. I'm sure he wouldn't want to waste his time when he finds out your tits aren't perky enough, or your ass isn't round enough for him. Or maybe when he finds out how shallow of a person you really are.

Two way street...

You're projecting. Thanks for the laugh though. You are witty, I'll give you that. ;)

The sound of their voice is just another feature, no different than height preference. If it's not appealing to you, then don't waste your time. IT IS NOT BEING SHALLOW. If a guy doesn't find an over weight girl attractive, it doesn't make him shallow. You are attracted to, to what you are attracted to. You are not being silly, it's not nonsense, it's reality.

You are being attacked because of how brash you broached this subject. But I get it, you are just being honest. I think you should talk to a close GF instead and see what she would do, she knows you best.
