Adferger1 Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Just a quick question about Grass is Greener Syndrome, for those who knows a lot about this. Does the greener grass she is exploring have to be other guys??? Could it just be another way of life?? My ex quit her full time job, and went back to a new school with all new people around her. And also started 2 new part time jobs. She is working like crazy. I have read about GIGS on these forums, and it explains very well the situration with me and my ex. Except she is not rushing into a new relationship or dating at all (To my knowledge)... But everything else fits. She is out partying a lot ect. So I am thinking it is this new life that she has started that seemed so interresting. It is this new life that she thinks is "greener grass"... Is this possible?

So I am thinking it is this new life that she has started that seemed so interresting. It is this new life that she thinks is "greener grass"... Is this possible? i would say this. its not a syndrome, and shes not sick.. people sometimes break up because they fall out of love. sometimes because they cant handle the relationship at the moment. when youre young you always want to do things that you sometimes cant. maybe the time spent with you is taking up a lot of time outside her job. she might feel smoothered. you know when you fall in love and you cant stay away from that person? people can feel that with a carrier, by partying because they couldnt do that with their boyfriend. and sometimes they just think that theres someone else out there and they dont know because they dont have any experience with other people. if you had a long relationship and she would rush in to a new one. the possibility of that relationship ending is pretty big cause you have a history with that person not only as her boyfriend but also as her friend , and maybe her best friend. this takes time to get over. what you have to do is to give her time. dont beg, dont talk to her. if you leave her alone she could be coming back. i've seen people do this before and when the honey moon phase is over with their new "thing" whatever that could be, they can start to miss you. you have to move on, if you end up not thinking about her anymore and finds another girl, good for you. if you end up dating her again you will understand what went wrong and you can deal with it as a happy person who's not thinking about the past. jumping right back in when the problem is still there and you feel miserable will decrease your chances greatly. nobody wants a sad person back in their life. its hard to see the bad things and understand what went wrong when youre feeling like this. when you feel good again like you did in the beginning of the relationship you will understand. improve yourself for yourself. if you feel that you were a couch potato then starty working out.
Author Adferger1 Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 By "syndrom" I am not saying she is sick or there is something wrong with her at all. But that is the name this has been given here on LS, and it makes sence to me, and I understand better why she broke up if this is the reason behind it. I just needed to know if a girl could be looking for greener grass when starting a new life, without haveing anything to do with lovelife or dating. But as I understand your reply to this is: Yes, correct? I am ignoring her... She is removed from facebook as well... She need her time, and I need mine.

She need her time, and I need mine. well of course she can. every person is unique and every relationship is unique. nobody can tell you exactly what happened or whats going to happen. if she loves you after the breakup chances are she will come back. people almost always break up because they believe theres something better out there. or that the person is blocking them from doing something they want to do right now. that doesnt mean she wants to do this forever. if youve been through a breakup before and looking back you could tell that shes never coming back. theres no love anymore. and you look at this person and you can feel that theres something still there? i've been through a breakup that maybe could have been saved but it was really hard. the feelings werent there at all. then another one that had to do with school /distance/fear of the future. yet she still loves me a lot. the first one talked to me maybe few texts/day and just didnt want to come out as a rude person. this one was definitely over me. the last one didnt want to talk to me but never closed the chapter, she was trying to tell me she needed time, i told her im letting you go. she continued to tell me i pushed her which i didnt when i told her ill let you go. shes having sleeping problems, she's stressed out and everything. im not waiting but i do think she will come back.
jackinthebox1 Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Some completely loser wrote up a blog calling it GIGS in the hope of substantiating his pathetic weak actions for letting his gf walk out on him and laying there like a lap dog while she went out and slept with other people. There is no such thing as gigs and if there is then they may just as easily find that the grass IS greener without you. If they have left you, are seeing someone else, then the relationship is over and you should not be spending your time and tears on someone who treats you like that. Whoever wrote that post has really led people down some bad alleyways and i would love to hear how it worked out with his ex. Im guessing not well
