babybear Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 Alright, so I am having a big party this weekend for my bday, and I invited a whole bunch of my friends, and their friends, etc. My ex-bf recently moved back to the area...and b/c I am just a NICE person, I put his name on the evite. We've emailed a couple times, which is how I know he is around. And no, I am NOT interested in him whatsover anymore. I am dating someone, and have been with him 3 yrs. Originally I didn't want the ex to get the wrong idea...so I even wrote him a quick email, adn was like, hey...I know you just moved back - I'm having a party, so bring your gf, or some friends, or whatever. He totally doesnt respond. And I don't care if he doesnt come, but now I'm annoyed by him having taken it the wrong way. I almost want to be like - I HOPE you don't think I meant anything! So, is this just one of those guy things where if they can't sleep with you, there is no point whatsoevver in having anything to do with you? Bb

Maybe, but it could possibly be that he still may have feelings for you and just the thought of seeing you will drive him crazy...(if you had a deep relationship) Or maybe he just doesn't feel like going...?!

I doubt he could still possibly have any feelings for me, seeing that we've been broken up for 4 yrs...and he broke up with me anyway. Yup, we all get DUMPED sometimes! We broke up cause his ex wanted him back, and she made him swear to never see me again - I thought that meant "at the time" but perhaps he's really taken it to heart! You're right...maybe he just doesn't want to go. I am really good friends with a lot of ex's, which is why I believe that unless the breakup was horrible, it's still nice to remain in contact, or on decent terms, ya know? BB

Or maybe he doesn't open his email that often. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm sure you are very happy with your bf of 3 yrs and I'm sure you'll bump into your old bf eventually. It didnt really occur to me he even thought of me...which is why I figured things would be cool. But you're right...who knows what goes in in other ppl's heads. I was annoyed b/c I thought he figured I was into him still or something! I'm going to enjoy my day regardless! Too bad you aren't in Cali, ALPHA! Bb
