I wasn't meaning to derail and your initial question only asked if there were other options, which I indicated existed.

 

I have personally used Western Union but it is complicated because there are fewer and fewer locations and it involves considerable work on both parties. But I have used it successfully and they *do* provide ready-access cash, while online companies like PayPal do not.
