So what exactly is considered the average man's dating and sexual history?

26, former star college athlete and my number is between 60 and 70. I think. Not proud of it, but i was young and it was sooo easy, it was hard to say no back then; but i was always very very careful even on those drunken nights. I read that single digits is average for a life time. Boy i really went nuts.

If I could, I would have double digits. But I haven't even kissed a girl. I just need that first one...

Why do you guy's put so much importance in numbers? I would rather have few partners with whom I could be really intimate with and explore our own fantasies, than to hook up with a random stranger whose name I don't even know.

Like I posted previously my numbers are low and I couldn't care less, except for one, all the times I had sex I was in a commited relantionship and there is nothing better than sex when you and your partner are totally confortable with each other, I would not trade a relantionship like this for an orgy with all the Victoria Secret's models :p

Because it seems society/your buddies respect you more and consider you a 'man' if you are a player. Think about how much respect George Clooney gets. The media is obsessed with young hot chics & rich player men. If you're a nice guy who is an awesome husband/great dad, you're just a boring family man. And women know how to play it as well. They go sleep around with attractive player men and then try to lock down some nice guy to have a family with. The player dude gets all the sex/fun and the nice guy gets to raise kids and put up with the chic's bs. I have an amazing wife but it just bothers me that I could easily be a player with no responsibilities and have all the care-free sex in the world. It's complicated. First world problems.

No, a mature 31yo. I just look around and see all the infidelity, hooking up with prostitutes/strippers, Thailand, etc and it makes me think maybe it's male nature to keep having sex with multiple partners. I want to believe in love/marriage/parenthood but I wonder if I am just fighting against the inevitable.

It's also male nature to rape, kill, mutilate, torture and when things are nicely organized, commit acts of atrocity at the level of genocide.

The very fabric of our society has been weaved together through the history of our ancestors who fought against their human instinct and aimed to build something greater for themselves and their descendants. By people who set aside their primal cravings in place of higher aspirations, that when practiced, led to a greater peace and harmony throughout the society. Our systems of law, traditions and morals reflect that.

While your urges are understandable, all men face temptations, your willingness to throw away much of what you've built and to betray the woman you married - swore vows to - for nothing more than sensual pleasure and satisfaction of ego is saddening.

But with the way you speak and think I can imagine your marriage is founded on ego and not love. How could it be when your only consideration seems to be how the lack of poon in your life is of such greater concern than the destruction your way of thinking will cause to her life? She's just another trophy, another achievement, that you've now grown weary of.

On the path you're putting yourself on I doubt you'll ever be satisfied. There'll always be more to be had that you don't have. More.

Was talking to a single friend today and how he keeps talking about all these dates he goes on, mostly with women she meets online and occasionally in the bars/at work. Every time i talk to the guy, he's with a different girl. And we're talking at least 1 girl a week. It seems to me that the internet is really helping increase men's #'s. He uses Tinder very heavily. I read this article which makes it clear why it is so hard to commit or love any one these days. While I am sitting at home watching a move on a Friday night, my buddy is on the prowl meeting new people and feeding his ego. I dunno who is happier but I can tell you that it seems, at least on the surface, that single life with lots of options is much more exciting than married life.

(you might say the guy writing this article is exaggerating but trust me this **** is real. My buddy who is living this life is by no means an exceptional male. He is good looking and has a decent job but nothing extraordinary that would make chics flock to him)

Which means there could be a number of August 64s out there now in different area codes awaiting their child support?

Good thing there's a lot of easy ways to sniff out a dishonest or woman with an unsavory past.

Dind Ding Ding.....If you ever meet a woman with sole custody of her kids, and she tell you that her ex didn't want the kids, don't take her word for it, and see it as a yellow flag. They will tell you anything to get you to settle
