I'm the only one ever doing any approaching or asking out, and as if to add injury to insult, it's nearly always resulted in rejection. This has got to stop, but I don't know how to stop it--I'm clean, I speak the local language, and I'm reasonably friendly, so I don't know what's gone wrong here. Please help.
agnf666 Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 This is a hard situation. Sometimes people are really shy so they would rather be the person that would wait to be asked out. Have you ever got close to someone to the point where they might ask you but you bet them to it. I would try to not ask the person and see how long it takes for them to ask you. I have the same probelm to. I seem like I do all the asking. I hate it but there is a time when you just go with the flow and give that a try.

I'd do that, but it's tough to get close to someone if a second meeting (or, in the case of approaching, being met or meeting them in the first place) isn't successfully arranged at some point.
