CT98 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 2 months post break up here and starting to get very introspective. I've had two long term girlfriends in my 25 years and they've both left me. I am struggling to understand what it is; I'm fairly good looking, I dress well, I have a high paid job - especially for my age, I never cheated or abused, treated them both very well, meals out, trips away - funded mostly by me, as I can afford it and didn't mind at all, I'm intelligent, was always told the sex was good. I'm wondering is it because I'm too nice? Do woman enjoy being with men who treat them like sh*t? Too available maybe. Or is it only certain types of women and I'm picking the wrong ones.
MissMoneyPenny Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I guess your previous girlfriends have been fairly young (teenagers/early twenties). Perhaps they didn't have enough life experience to realise how good they had it. I think people in their mid-twenties start to have a better understanding of life. Third time's a charm! Hopefully your next girlfriend will realise how lucky she is!

Don't try to look for flaws. Sometimes, things just don't work. You are young, I assume that your GFs were around the same age as you, maybe a bit younger. Relationships at that age usually don't last.
