jackson14 Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I gave a shy girl my contact number and it's been a week and i have not heard from her since. Does that means that i am finished? Lol
GemmaUK Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 It doesn't sound like she is going to contact you. Actions speak louder than acceptance of a phone number.
Chemist Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 If you like a girl, you make it happen. Don't give your number, ask for hers. 1
PegNosePete Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 If you like a girl, you make it happen. Don't give your number, ask for hers. Right. And when she gives it to you, read it back to make sure you got it right, but introduce a deliberate mistake. If she corrects you, it's her real number and she wants to hear from you. Call her later. If she lets you carry on with the mistake, she gave a fake number. Say goodbye, delete the number and move on. 2
glimpse Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Men don't give numbers, they get numbers. You live and you learn, so next time ask for hers (someone else). Make it a subtle, "wanna go (something she likes [grab coffee works, classic but works or check out a new dessert venue]) this weekend? (if she says yes then ask for her contact info). Dial it in your phone and call it so she can save yours (and you can find out right away if its her right number.
Author jackson14 Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 What should i do if i met her again? We will be meeting again in 3 weeks time.

Author jackson14 Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 do you like her? if so.. then text her and ask her out. dont waste any more time... if she doesn't reply move on I do not have her number. 1
martaldn Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I do not have her number. there is not much you can do then...
Fondue Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Right. And when she gives it to you, read it back to make sure you got it right, but introduce a deliberate mistake. If she corrects you, it's her real number and she wants to hear from you. Call her later. If she lets you carry on with the mistake, she gave a fake number. Say goodbye, delete the number and move on. Dude, this is genius. I can't believe I never heard of it before. It seems so simple.. But so perfect. Thanks for the share.
d0nnivain Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Few women will make the 1st move. If she is shy she will never make the 1st move. Hopefully you will see her again. Then you can ask her out. 2

Then you can ask her out. How should i ask her out? Should i ignore the giving number incident and start afresh?
d0nnivain Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Yes, ignore the past. When you see her ask for her # & ask if it would be OK to call. Use . . I think PegNosePete's trick. Read the # back to her but get 1 digit wrong. If she corrects you, it's a real #. If she doesn't, it's fake. Move on. Call via voice. Chat her up a bit then ask her for a date. Be specific about the time & place. Do you want to get a cup of coffee with me on Thursday at 8?
