newmoon Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 just go visit the other boards on here. the break-up boards, the cheating boards, etc and so on. all that physical amazing passion? people wait for that "attraction" feeling, get carried away and marry that person, and then come back to LS with tales of sorrow when they are in a sexless marriage, or being cheated on, or cheating, etc. how much caring comes from these amazing, wait-for-the-love-of-your-life marriages? statistically, arranged marriages have a higher chance of success - it could be family support, or it could be that people realize you don't need someone handsome or beautiful next to you when you lose your job, but someone caring and supportive. it's definitely ok to settle, because the feeling that there is 'better' out there will keep you single for a long time. and after a certain point you have to question whether you're really all that great anyway.

Arranged marriage in no way benefits women. It's a slave auction.
