I'm a sophomore on my University's track team and was at the bar/club in my school's town with some of my non-track friends. I saw one of the freshman girls on the track team and a 2 of her friends that I know as well. We'll call her girl A. Girl A saw me and immediately yelled hi and we met and she gave me a hug. For the next few minutes I danced with Girl A and her friends on the dance floor but separately.

Within a few minutes both of Girl A's friends had guys dancing on her friends. Not wanting things to get awkward with a girl I see relatively often and not knowing whether she liked me or not, I did not try and dance with her. However, Girl A comes over and literally puts herself on me and so we start grinding. About half an hour later Girl A starts giving me the head-lean and which indicates to me she wants to make-out. So I turn her around a little more and we make-out on the dance floor. She turns completely around and we have a full-fledged make out to the point where I have to cut it off to breathe. I continue to escalate by moving my hands around her hips, chest and stomach. Later her friend decides that she doesn’t like the guy she's dancing with and we move to a different part of the dance floor while she grabs my hand so I'll follow her.

This happens again later as her friend again decides she doesn't want to dance with a different guy and so her and the girl I was dancing with go to the bathroom which I'm dragged along by Girl A and told to wait outside for them.

Later Girl A's friend is so drunk that we have to take her home. We drag her home, well she says the funniest stuff "Girl A!, your boyfriend is holding my hand! He should be holding your hand". After a long struggle we get her back to her dorm and then I walk back Girl A to her dorm. We make small talk as the sexual tension cooled off during the 45 minutes we struggled to get her friend back to her dorm. She tells me that I don't have to walk her home and mentions that she's pretty sober (3 shots). I say it's fine and she doesn't resist it. She doesn't say anything when we get to the main door which she opens with her key and we walk up to her room. She says she tired but we end up talking for a bit but I don't escalate because she doesn't seem up for it really outside of some light touching and a few goodnight kisses as I leave.

I don't have Girl A's number as I forgot to ask her for it as I see her a few times a week plus at parties and stuff. So I don't text her Sunday or Monday, but today I see girl A sitting with the team (the guys and girls track teams have a dinner table we all eat at) she gets up and walks right by me with her friend. I say hi to Girl A and her friend as they walk by and Girl A gives me this very quiet, awkward hi. I sit down at the table next to girl A's chair. Girl A's finished dinner but her friend didn't and she immediately picks up her backpack and says she'll see her friend later when she finishes at study table.

I have no idea what I did wrong and don't want things to be awkward regardless of whether she wants to be friends or more because I see her multiple times per week. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

She may have been embarrassed by her behavior on the dance floor. Who knows? She should have been embarrassed at least. You can go up to her next time you see her and ask her out for drinks and gauge her response.
