Georgia2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I have finally decided to give the cashier I like a note with my number. What could I write in it so he will hopefully call or text me? Please serious answers only I don't want to hear insincere or perverted answers. He is the one that looked at me in a way that makes me think he likes me. Plus my gut is telling me that he likes me.

You say, "hey, I'd like to have a cup of coffee with you sometime. If you're interested, here's my number". Do not be disappointed if he doesn't call you though and when you see him again after, be sure not to be distant or change the way you interact with him because you're embarrassed. Just be yourself and have no expectations. If he doesn't call you and then more clearly shows interest, let him take the lead from there. If he does call you, let him lead from there too. 1
Zahara Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I think you strike up some banter first before you give him your number. Most retail personnel are friendly. You interpreted one look and that doesn't necessarily mean that he likes you. How did you approach the Walmart cashier and how did you find out he has a girlfriend?
SycamoreCircle Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 In my experience, both as a giver and receiver of numbers, coyly passing a phone number to a person and running away rarely works. Talk to the guy. Stage something ridiculous like flirt with him while being checked out, then go get another item and stand in line again. This gives you another opp to flirt with with him. Read his body language. If he seems into it, then pass him your number.

You weren't there and couldn't see the look he gave me. No guy including retail personnel has given me that look before. He wasn't just being friendly. With the Walmart cashier it was easier to talk to him since no one was around us. The store where this guy works is a very fast paced store especially at the register. I was able to have a private conversation with the Walmart cashier. Since no one was around and he wasn't busy. I asked him if he was single like the members on this forum suggested. This new guy his store is very busy even at 8:30 in the morning!
d0nnivain Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Say / write something along the lines of what RedHead14 said. If you can manage a wink when you hand him your # all the better. Just do be prepared for it not to work. There was a post here a few days ago about some woman ogling a guy & waving at him. He followed her into the Starbucks & began talking to her. She immediately pointed out that she was married. I remind you of that thread because a look can be misinterpreted.

Thank you for your advice but I didn't see a ring. When I see a cute guy the first thing I do is look for a ring!

me85 Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 "I like the way you bag my groceries..." "I like the way you take my payment..." (= IDK?? Be creative, cute, humorous and a little sexy. Good luck!

He could still be in a committed relationship without being married. My caution is more universal: do give him the note but don't get your hopes up.

But if you are over 21, I would engage him in a conversation or several conversations and leave time for him to ask you for your number. Be patient.
deathandtaxes Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Don't. Just Don't. He's working, it's his job to be pleasant. But if you really want him to have your number, talk to him. A note is so passive. Woman up and talk to the guy. 1
