saalnu Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I am coping with a heartbreaking BU. Currently in NC. Since music can be like medicine (though sometimes sad songs kill us) It would be nice to gather some songs that have helped us pass through tough moments. It would be nice to pin this one, we might help some buddies. Here are some of mine, Bob Marley helped me the most, but feel free to add yours! The order would be: [songname] - [Artist] Hope it helps ------------------------------- Everythings not lost - Coldplay Fix you - Coldplay Three little birds - Bob Marley Easy skanking - Bob Marley Jamming - Bob Marley Buffalo soldier - Bob Marley Give thanks and praises - Bob Marley Afriki - Alpha Blondie King without a Crown - Matisyahu Fool to cry - Rolling Stones Dont you worry child - Swedish House Mafia Happy - Pharrell 99 problems - Jay Z Let it be - The Beatles New sensation - INXS Red red wine - UB40 Jump and swing and sway - Babylove and the Fandangos Space cowboy - Jamiroquai True men don't kill coyotes - Red Hot Chili Peppers
tikay00 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Ignorant ass rap music helps for me. I don't think it works for female though lol. Anything upbeat, and none of that lovey dovey stuff.

AaronSG Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 (Sometime I need to dive into the sad songs to purposely help bring up a gambit of emotions, so I can feel them and hopefully move on quicker.) The Sad Songs.... 1. Duran Duran - Ordinary World 2. Roxette - It Must Have Been Love 3. Breath - Hands To Heaven 4. Lifehouse - From Where You Are 5. Lifehouse - Broken 6. Garth Brooks - More Than A Memory 7. U2 - With Or Without You 8. 3 Doors Down - Here Without You Baby 9. The Calling - Where Ever You Will Go 10. Keith urban - Tonight I Wanna Cry (Then the happiers songs I try to listen to as to let me know that I'll get through this, I will move on and that there might be better days ahead.) Happier Music.... 1. Todd Clark - New Day Coming 2. Miami Night 1984 - New Tomorrow 3. Chris Daughtry - Over You 4. Sisters of Mercy - This Corrosion 5. Mercy Drive - Burn In My Light (WWE Randy Orton's Old Theme Song) 6. Queen - Headlong 7. OneRepublic - Good Life 8. Shakira - Waka Waka 9. Owl City - Fireflies 10. AC/DC - Thunder Struck There's other songs I listen to, but with the sad or the glad, these primarily are my "main stays"!
preraph Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) Marianne Faithful "Why'd You Do It" -- for cheating. Megadeth "In My Darkest Hour" - because it matches my anger. Neil Young & Crazy Horse "Down by the River" Lords of the New Church - "Lords Prayer" - ain't no justice out there. Patsy Cline - almost anything. She feels you. Ramones "I Wanna Be Sedated." David Bowie "Candidate" and "Dance of the Evercircling Skeletal Family" because it's my most motivating song duo to pull myself up. Edited November 11, 2014 by preraph
