Author Lernaean_Hydra Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 And how are you any different exactly? Because I'm open to new ideas and theories and am not dead set on things being always exactly one way with little deviation. In your mind, women are only after the hottest and richest guys they can get their hands on whereas I find that to be wildly untrue.
SoleMate Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I will poke my eye out the next time someone brings up George Clooney as this objective standard that all women worldwide should like.... I agree, I pass men on the street daily who appeal to me far more than he does. 3
Mister Zen Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Well it seems to me you were trying to imply that the woman must have a low paying job herself to go out with a guy who works at Wal-Mart or a homeless man. No.. I am implying that the woman is unattractive. Men are generally not obsessed with a woman's ability to provide.
NJ123 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 No.. I am implying that the woman is unattractive. Men are generally not obsessed with a woman's ability to provide. Well, neither are all women. You realize these days women are making more & more money compared to the past. A lot of relationships these days the woman is making more than the guy. Like I said, if the woman is genuinely a good person & finds you attractive & thinks you have a good personality, she's not going to give a **** what type of job you have. 1

In your mind, women are only after the hottest and richest guys they can get their hands on whereas I find that to be wildly untrue. Women are open to the best options available to them. Just like everyone else. The fat pig dating the guy at Walmart would probably date someone better if she had a body and face like Shakira or Emma Watson. Why don't you ever see supermodels dating men who sell hot dogs on the street? I don't know why you're allergic to the truth (or telling it).

I don't remember if I covered this in this tread or another.. but what women care about in men is directly related to what they can attract. An ugly woman can't afford to be as picky about a man's job or looks as an attractive woman. So she won't be. And she might be rich.. but no handsome guy will date her if she's ugly because men don't care (generally) about a woman's income.

An ugly woman is unlikely to get with a guy that's considered attractive by a majority of women even if she's wealthy. But I think if two people in general are attracted to one another & like each other's personalities, what's it matter what type of job they have? What if the woman happens to be attractive & she finds the guy with the low paying job attractive & likes his personality? Unless she's shallow about money she won't turn down a date with him just due to his job. 1

Why do you keep assuming attractive women all care about money so much? It's just not true. You specifically mentioned supermodels before, but supermodels usually only date famous people. 1
Tinroof53 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 If you're in California you should have a bounty of attractive men around to choose from, yes?

You'll find this effect with both sexes, but I think its definitely stronger with women, as men give greater priority to looks and imo men tend to be hard wired in what they find attractive even as they get older, and men are more upfront about being looks focused. It just makes sense really and is in their interests and also less desirable men's interests. I do find people are as shallow as their options. If a woman drops or adds weight it will effect the sorts of guys she says she finds attractive (and reality will match with guys behaving different too). Getting older also does this and change in men is not just because they are now more mature. Most are well aware of their sexual market value and will capitalize on it when hot or downplay looks/$ as important when not. Women seem to have a stronger desire to appear less superficial and down play looks when not as sexy as it makes sense to adapt but I think also because looks/beauty is a double edged sword for them. 1

Lady2163 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I would date the man who is a 9 or 10 in my book and was poor, maybe didn't always treat me the way I wanted and may be only average in bed. I would MARRY the man who was a 5-7 in looks, financially stable, kind and considerate and rocked my world in the bedroom.
Mister Zen Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Why do you keep assuming attractive women all care about money so much? It's just not true. You specifically mentioned supermodels before, but supermodels usually only date famous people. Because they do. And not just attractive women. Why do supermodels only date famous people? According to you.. a supermodel can walk into her favorite restaurant, talk to the handsome bus boy and fall in love.. next thing you know they are married. Yeah, that happens all the time. If women want to convince men they don't care about money, first men need to see hard evidence of it. And there really isn't any.

Because such a man is easier to control and will probably stay loyal and tolerate all your crap. Men date uglier women for the same reason.

And your mistaken, I already said supermodels usually only date other famous people so their an exception. And 99% of attractive women aren't supermodels so that's irrelevant to the discussion.

gaius Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Saying you won't date an unattractive guy but have the hots for John Turturro would get anyone a little confused. Even if they understand the point you're trying to make.

Show me an attractive woman (9-10) dating a high school dropout who cleans toilets for a living and I will admit I'm wrong. 1

Depending on where I was in dating, I'd treat the food looking guy pretty much how he treated me.

That is because after a certain age all women seek security and resources above all things. Security = A loyal man they can control Resources = Money

Mister Zen Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I'm just gonna hope you're just pulling our legs here... Its pure truth. You will never see a woman attractive enough to be a model dating a man working at a gas station. NEVER. Even if she herself is a high school drop out flipping burgers.
